DroneDesign focus on production lightweight and strong structures. We are using wide range of techniques and materials, to reach the best results, from prototypes to mass production. See how we can produce your new parts!
Rapid protyping
We use 3d printing modern technologies and combine various prototyping techniques. The result are parts similar in strength and weight to those made in molds, but faster and cheaper!
Compression moulding forged carbon
Compressing chopped fibers with epoxy in durable moulds is a technique called “forged carbon”. Made in this way are distinguished by an interesting surface texture and great strength.
Compression moulding sandwich structure
Sandwich structure is a composite with internal lightweight filling, combining the properties of different materials . Foam and internal structure is compressed between carbon fiber skins.
Vacuum bagging sandwich structure
Most common technique for wings structures is vacuum bagging. Wet layup is closed with special consumables in negative pressure. Excess resin is drained off, resulting in the right proportion of fibers.
Infusion
Dry lay-up of fiber reinforcements and consumables are sealed in a vacuum. Using special low viscosity resin fibers are impregnated, obtaining the best surface quality.
Wet lay-up
A method of laying layers of reinforcement that requires a lot of craftsmanship. At the same time, it is the least demanding in terms of production tooling.
Tooling production
Of the various ways of making molds, the laminate mold is often the best solution. Several molds can be made from one plug, and the thermal expansion of the mould and the product is the same.
CNC machining
We use CNC machines to mill plugs, moulds and process laminate parts. They are also helpful in creating other production tooling. Good preparation of a machining strategy is a real art!
